Poem for PapPap

 1/17/1932 to 3/14/2013

We walked outside the other day

On ground you've cleared for us to stay

And everything you've done displayed

On open fields and forest shade

 

Your family keeps your memory here

For everywhere we go you're near

From windowsills to wooden floors

Your fingerprints on all the doors

 

Each brick you've placed, each plan you traced

Have brought us where we are today

And while we try to say goodbye

Our hearts still ache for you to stay

 

We thank you for the love you've shown

For doing more than most have known

For being there to help us out

And now, your love, we have no doubt
